The pop-up doubles as a cheer station on the course, where spectators hang out, fuel up and cheer the runners through. A DJ plays and there is sign making, and visitors drop in at any point through the morning.

Kate Mackz leads an easy, scenic shakeout of about three miles that starts and finishes at the pop-up. The route heads north on Wells Street and east along Oak Street to the pedestrian underpass at Oak Street Beach, then follows the lakefront path north to the Chess Pavilion before retracing its steps.

The pop-up gives runners a place to fuel up and get race ready, with a Charm & Hair Bar and a lounge open from 9 AM to 2:30 PM on Saturday. A shakeout run leaves from the door that morning, and on race day the space turns into a cheer station on the course.
