Longest Pastry Table
Pastry Runners sets one long communal table on Driggs Avenue beside McCarren Park for run clubs and runners from all five boroughs on the weekend before the marathon. Each run club hosts its own table led by a table captain, so runners name their club when they RSVP and sit together. Runners without a club get a seat as well. The lunch is a potluck, so everyone brings a carb to share from a home kitchen or a favorite bakery, with common allergens labeled. Entry is free with an RSVP because space on the street is limited.
