3sixteen presents the Jorts Mile

3sixteen hosts its third annual Jorts Mile with support from Saucony. The one-mile loop starts and ends at the 3sixteen flagship store at 190 Elizabeth Street in Nolita, and the race must be run in 100% cotton jorts, with no exceptions. Runners must be 18 or older.

Cash prizes of $300, $200 and $100 go to the top three in each category (male, female and non-binary), with at least five entrants needed per category. First place also wins Saucony Endorphin Speed 6 shoes and a $200 3sixteen gift certificate. The same prize goes to the biggest fit or best costume. The first 50 registrants get a race tee. 3sixteen and Saucony match the total of all entry fees with a donation to the Bowery Mission, and there are no refunds once registered.

Saucony runs product demos at the race, so runners who want to try the Endorphin Speed 6 should arrive between 6:30 and 7 PM to be sized. The course is open through busy streets and intersections, so runners should be comfortable running in traffic. After the race everyone walks ten minutes to Saucony's pop-up in the Lower East Side for the podium announcements at the after party.
