Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K

The 5K runs through the streets of Midtown Manhattan and finishes at the TCS New York City Marathon finish line in Central Park, the day before the marathon. NYRR has not yet posted the 2026 start line. The course has started by the United Nations in past years, and the pin marks Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, where race volunteers report. It is open to runners aged 8 and up, with Sesame Workshop as the race's charity partner. Costumes that cover the face or extend beyond the body are prohibited on this Halloween race day. Bibs are collected in advance at the NYRR RUN CENTER on West 57th Street, with no pickup on race morning. Registration is sold out, and NYRR members can join a free standby list.
