Boston Marathon '26 Weekend Guide

Boston Marathon is on Monday, April 20, 2026. Around the race itself we've mapped more than 100 side events: pop-ups that run for the full week, shakeouts that pack Commonwealth Ave on Saturday and Sunday, and medal engravings that stretch into Tuesday morning.

Boston sits at the end of the spring arc we wrote about a few weeks ago, after Tokyo's concentrated opener, LA's 112-event sprawl and Berlin Half's depth play. The brands threading the spring circuit (Tracksmith, Nike, Heartbreak, Hyperice) all show up here too.

This is the companion to our Instagram carousel, a structured read-through of the weekend with internal links into the full Boston 2026 guide. Some events may still be added or updated, so plans will shift. Double-check the details, pick a few must-dos, and go with the flow.

Pop-ups and multi-day experiences

The heaviest programming this year runs from Wednesday through Monday. These are the hubs, places you can keep coming back to across the week. Browse all of them on the Pop-ups filter.

Boston Marathon Weekend with PYNRS ("The Home Run")

The longest-running pop-up of the week, Tue Apr 14 through Mon Apr 20. PYNRS takes over its Boston home for a full eight-day run of retail drops, coffee mornings, runs and community moments. Start here if you want the crew side of race week rather than the brand-booth side.

Tracksmith Boston '26 Marathon Weekend at the Trackhouse

Wed Apr 15 through Tue Apr 21. The Trackhouse on Newbury is Tracksmith's home base for the full week, hosting shakeouts, talks, the Sunday pre-race shakeout and a steady drip of in-store programming. If there is a single address to know in Boston race week, this is it.

Brooks Hyperion House: Boston 2026

Thu Apr 16 through Mon Apr 20. Brooks's activation house runs panels, film nights, Mile 0 "under pressure" content, and the Mile 27 celebration after the race. It pairs with the Brooks cheer station at Mile 14 in Wellesley on race day.

Endorphins Fuel Bar (Boston Marathon)

The Endorphins Running fuel bar is back for Thu Apr 16 through Tue Apr 21, open from Thursday morning straight through medal Tuesday. Expect coffee, gels, fit stations and community drop-ins. It's a reliable daytime anchor for the whole week.

The Rec Room

Thu Apr 16 through Mon Apr 20. A multi-brand pop-up with the rec-room-as-clubhouse feel. Expect programming spread across the week rather than one main event.

Bandit Boston 2026 Pop-Up: The (Other Other) Garden

Bandit lands on Boylston for Fri Apr 17 through Tue Apr 21 at 250 Boylston Street, a few blocks from the finish. This is their Boston take, following the NYC, LA and Chicago playbook: a capsule drop, members-only early access on Friday morning, a Sunday shakeout, medal portraits on Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning, and a Make Your Own Luck scratch game running the whole weekend.

Pop-up hours: Fri 11am–7pm (members from 9am), Sat 8am–7pm, Sun 8am–5pm, Mon 1:30pm–5pm, Tue 9am–2pm.

Also running as pop-ups

Day by day

The weekend opens with Saturday's warmup programming, tightens into Sunday's pre-race shakeouts, and spills into Monday evening's afterparties and Tuesday's medal engravings. A handful of picks per day are below, and the full lineup always sits one link away.

Saturday, April 18

Saturday is the volume day. Fifteen shakeouts overlap on Saturday morning alone, and you can't do them all. Pick by crew or neighborhood rather than by brand, and you'll find the one that fits. The full list is on the Shakeouts filter.

Runna's Weekend Warmup 5K

The Runna crew kicks the weekend off with an easy 5K. It's a good on-ramp if you're not racing but still want to log the weekend.

UYN x Forte Boston Marathon Shakeout Run

UYN and Forte's Saturday shakeout is one of the cleaner European-brand crossovers on the calendar.

Boston Plogging with Tina Muir and Kofuzi

A run-and-pick-up-trash Saturday afternoon with two of the bigger running-content creators in the scene. Low-key pace, good conversation, a quiet counterweight to the branded morning.

Weekend Social w/ Red Bull

Red Bull's Saturday evening social is a good pivot from the morning runs into the party side of the week.

RIVS Run Club x Marathon Sports Boston Shake-Out Run

RIVS Run Club with Marathon Sports is the local-first pick. Go here if you want a shakeout that feels like Boston rather than a brand booth.

Sunday, April 19: pre-race day

Shakeouts stack early on Sunday morning, so pick one and commit. The full list is on the Shakeouts filter.

Tracksmith Pre-Race Shakeout

The flagship Sunday-morning shakeout, the one that fills Commonwealth Ave. It starts and finishes at the Trackhouse.

Boston Shakeout Run with lululemon

lululemon's Sunday shakeout is the brand's race-weekend anchor before medal Tuesday.

Bandit Boston Shakeout Run

Doors open at 8 and the run kicks off at 8:30 from 250 Boylston. About three easy miles around the neighborhood, with coffee and fuel back at the pop-up after.

Monday, April 20: race day

The race is in the morning, and the parties run into the night. Full list on the Parties filter.

Heartbreak Afterparty

The Heartbreak Run afterparty is the crew-scene party of the night.

Endorphins Marathon After Party

The Endorphins Running afterparty picks up where the Fuel Bar leaves off.

For spectators on race day

If you're watching rather than running, six branded cheer zones are set up along the course from Wellesley to the Back Bay finish. Pick a mile, plant yourself, and make some noise.

Full spectator map on the Cheer zones filter.

Tuesday, April 21: medal day

Boston Medal Engraving with lululemon

The quiet close of race week. Bring the medal, get it engraved, and collect yourself before heading home.
